Benched ("we", "us") helps you quit sports betting. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We built Benched to be privacy-first — we collect as little as possible.

What we store

Your quiz answers, streak, "why", and money-saved figures are stored on your device. We do not require an account, your real name, or any government ID. We never ask you to enter banking details, card numbers, or sportsbook logins.

App blocking (Screen Time)

If you choose to block betting apps, Benched uses Apple's Family Controls (Screen Time) framework. Apple keeps your app selection and activity entirely on your device and only provides us anonymous tokens — we never learn which apps you select or how you use them. This data never leaves your phone.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status (active / expired) so we can unlock features. We never see or store your payment card details — Apple handles all billing.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which features are used and where people drop off, so we can improve the app. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal recovery information with advertisers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Your control

You can erase all of your data at any time from Settings → Reset my progress. Deleting the app also removes locally stored data.
